The Guild Starfire II ST hollowbody electric is a bona fide rock 'n' roll powerhouse with rich, organic tone. The Starfire II ST's thinline mahogany body is lightweight and comfortable to play for the longer gigs. The C-shape mahogany neck with Indian rosewood fingerboard also feels comfortable and immediately playable in your hands. A pair of LB-1 Little Bucker humbucking pickups, slightly smaller than regular-sized humbuckers, gives the Starfire II ST unique Guild tone as well. Stripped-down '60s design

Part of Guild's Newark Street Collection, the Starfire II ST hollowbody is based on a classic '60s design. But it does it in a straightforward package that looks great on a rock 'n' roll stage. The gold Tune-o-matic bridge design adds great sustain and tuning stability to the instrument. And the Starfire's hollowbody design is responsible for so many of the iconic sounds of the '60s rock revolution. With this modern reissue, you get incredible tonal versatility with an unmistakable vintage vibe.

LB-1 Little Bucker pickups

The Guild Starfire II ST is outfitted with a pair of hum-canceling LB-1 Little Bucker pickups. Originally designed in the 1960s, the Little Buckers were an alternative to single-coil pickups. The output sits somewhere between a single-coil and a vintage-style PAF humbucker. They offer more jangle than a PAF but a little more warmth than a traditional single-coil. Factor in the 3-way pickup selector, and you'll discover why the Starfire is so popular here at Sweetwater.

Hollowbodies offer the best of both worlds

Slightly less than 2" deep, the hollow Starfire II ST has the warm, resonant sound you'd expect from a hollowbody. Its thickness ensures that it will remain comfortable for guitarists who are used to solidbody electrics.
