Danelectro '59M NOS+ Electric Guitar - Copper

Serial Number: 109729 Weight: 6 lbs 0 oz

Danelectro's Most Famous Guitar, with NOS+ Pickups

Retaining the character of their classic guitars, the Danelectro '59M NOS+ electric guitar offers a wonderful sonic alternative to your other guitars. It boasts everything players love about the Danelectro '59, including the distinctive shorthorn shape, a fully adjustable wraparound bridge, and stacked tone/volume controls. And with a pair of NOS+ lipstick pickups, you've got the character of the original NOS pickups but with brighter highs, punchier mids, and more powerful lows. If you're looking for an electric guitar with a distinctive single-coil voice that pairs beautifully with overdrive, check out the Danelectro '59M NOS+ guitar.

NOS+ lipstick pickups for definitive Danelectro tone

Based on the sonic character of their original NOS single-coil pickups, the NOS+ pickups in this '59M NOS+ guitar have been optimized for hotter output and livelier tone overall — punchier lows and mids, and highs with more clarity and bite. They sound particularly amazing for bluesy slide work and pair beautifully with an overdriven tube amplifier.

Instantly identifiable Dano looks and sound

The classic Dano look and sound may be every bit as familiar around the world as just about any other guitar design out there. It may have not sold the numbers other classic electric guitar designs have, but you've heard it on hundreds of records. The Danelectro '59M NOS+ captures this vibe for you in spades, and we're digging that vibe here at Sweetwater. Built with its feet firmly in the vintage design of the older Danos, the '59M NOS+ still offers you the ability to go from really old-school Nashville twang to modern fuzzed-out garage rock. And you'll look the part no matter what your tone calls for.

Construction updates for modern reliability

Like a great many vintage guitar designs, older Danos can sometimes fall victim to reliability issues. But you'll be able to gig your '59M NOS+ electric guitar without worry, thanks to modern updates that bring the guitar up to today's high-quality standards.

Instead of the traditional hardboard body, these guitars utilize a spruce body with hardboard as the top and back.

You'll get great intonation up and down the neck with the intonation-adjustable wraparound bridge. And while it's unfortunately missing in the older instruments, you get an adjustable truss rod to make sure your Dano '59M NOS+'s neck stays straight and plays true.

Danelectro '59M NOS+ Semi-hollowbody Electric Guitar Features:

• Semi-hollowbody electric guitar with vintage character and modern reliability
• Spruce body and hardboard top and back deliver superior tone
• A look that's true to vintage Danelectro classics
• NOS+ lipstick pickups deliver classic NOS tone with heavier lows, punchier mids, and brighter highs
• Dual-action truss rod is ready to keep the neck straight for a lifetime
• Intonation-adjustable wraparound tailpiece
• Clear tone from an aluminum string nut
• Stacked tone and volume knobs
