Normal Devices Decay Cascade Distortion and Reverb Pedal

The Normal Devices Decay Cascade is a unique reverb and distortion pedal that blends cascading analog amplification stages with deeply textured reverb layers to create everything from lo-fi echoes to total signal disintegration. Inspired by the classic sound of running reverb into distortion, this pedal takes things further with more blending and layering possibilities, allowing for both subtle ambiance and sonic destruction in a single unit.

With a reverb time of up to 20 seconds, the Decay Cascade lets you shape everything from a light, atmospheric bounce to saturated, droning swells. The reverb mix is then sent to a versatile drive circuit featuring a voltage sag gate, adding an extra layer of crackling, deteriorating grit. A preamp stage, inspired by 1960s test amplifiers, injects a raw boost of gain, while an optional low-pass filter allows for further tone sculpting.

The interactive controls make it easy to fine-tune your preferred level of decay, drive, and noise, from dusty vintage ambiance to the sound of an amp dying in real-time. Whether you're crafting broken textures, sputtering fuzz, or eerie, degraded reverb artifacts, the Decay Cascade delivers an array of organic, chaotic soundscapes-all while ensuring your output remains under control with a master volume knob.

Perfect for experimental musicians, noise artists, and anyone looking to push the boundaries of reverb and distortion, this pedal offers sonic depth and unpredictable character in a compact, intuitive format.
