NOTE: At the very end of the description I have a long list of the other brand mallets that I have listed on Reverb.

===

Measurements of the 10AB mallets:

  • Full length: about 13 and 1/8 inches
  • Head Diameter: 7/8 inch (7/8")
  • Lenth of handle (shaft): about 12 and 1/8 inches

In case you did not know -- "Mike Balter is NOT currently running his own mallet company as it was acquired by Zildjian in 2018, meaning the "Mike Balter Mallet Company" brand is now owned and operated by Zildjian, but the mallet line still exists under the same name."

I  got these mallets back in 2000  (even back then - they were in kind of "new" old stock condition).

I was planning to sell them sooner - but was kind of busy. Finally getting a chance to sell them now.

With the exception of minor imperfections from how the mallets were manufactured and minor natural imperfections - the mallets are in excellent shape. That's why I put the conditon as EXCELLENT instead of MINT.

The packaging (paper part and plastic part) is in between Very Good and Good shape.

The mallets were never used.

Nothing specific to comment on about the condition of the mallets. The front center area of ONE the balls have a factory made black dot. And the gray color of the balls has tiny light gray specks (from how they were manufactired - these specks shpw up more in the pictures than they appear in person).

  • NOTE: The white-ish yellow spots are just glares from the camera's flash.

HANDLES: They are fine / very clean. A few minor natural imperfection in the wood grain (brown lines) and for one of the handles - the either the wood or the stain is darkerer in a few areas than most of the other areas (as seen in picture # 15).

The packaging (paper part and the plastic bag part):

PAPER PART -

  • The paper part of the packaging has some visible not too light / not too deep unevenness and some visible - but not too serious - creases, a couple of small dot & very short dash impressions, and a few tiny staple holes. Also the areas on / near the corners have creases & light visible wear and there is a little wear on some of the edge areas. And the white side of the paper part has some aging / slight yellowing.

PLASTIC BAGGIE -

  • The plastic baggie surface cloudiness, some creases & some unevenness, a few tiny nicks, a few tiny / very small dot impressions, and some very light surface scratches. There are also a few tiny staple holes and the clear color of the baggies has aged a little in color.

I took several pictures of the Mike Balter 10AB mallets and there are a couple pictures of the packaging.

NOTE: For the MALLETS -- There may be a few minor imperfections that I overlooked. There maybe a few minor imperfections that can be seen in person that do not appear in the pictures. Also - there are some imperfections (glares, reflections. dust specks) that show up in the pictures that are not that visible in person.
