It’s all overcast when you plug into Tomkat’s Cloudy—a pedal-format remake of Mutable Instruments’ ever-popular Clouds granular delay/pitch stretcher/shimmerverb/etc synthesizer module.

Adapted from Eurorack synth module into a guitar pedal form factor, Tomkat’s Cloudy enables a whole new population of musicians to harness the power of Mutable Instruments‘ contemporary classic, granular multi-effects engine. Containing the forum-famed Parasites alternative firmware, this pedal offers six distinct effector modes:

• Granular processor
• Pitch shifter/time stretcher
• Looping delay
• Spectral madness
• Emmiverb
• Resonator

Apart from the processing modes, a rich set of controls and expression features are described by Tomkat’s website:

“Has user-updatable firmware interface to allow for easy updates in the future.

Has Mono input and Stereo output (with trs output jack). Has true bypass relay switching. (On bypass the second channel of the stereo output has no signal)

Has expression jack which controls one of two knobs. This is selectable with an internal slide switch.

Has two CV inputs for control over Density and Position with +-5V.

Has a Trigger input which acts differently according to what mode you are in.”

The unit for sale is in impeccable condition—no functional or cosmetic issues to mention. It would easily grade as mint without the Velcro on the back, which is simple to remove and clean (we can take care of that for you if you want—just ask and it’ll arrive Velcro-free).
