The robust okoumé body is complemented by a five-striped maple/jatoba neck, which offers reliable support thanks to the neck-through-body construction, even when jam sessions or stage performances get hot. The 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with a 15.75" radius offers precise playability, while the sleek BTB5 neck profile is ideal for intricate riffs or accurate licks. A hot sound is provided by the two Ibanez α1 pickups, which produce a crystal-clear sound that can also be precisely tailored via the active Preamp with 3-band EQ. The 3-way mid-frequency switch provides the option of selecting three mid-frequency spectrums between 250Hz, 450Hz and 700Hz, allowing the mid-range in particular to be specifically tailored.
