Taylor GS Mini-e Rosewood Sunburst Acoustic/Electric Guitar (s/n:2204076226)! Guitar Comes with Taylor GigBag!
There are very few acoustic guitars that have managed to become genuinely useful to such a wide range of musicians as the Taylor GS Mini.
The Taylor GS Mini-e Rosewood SB takes that proven compact design and gives it a warmer, more traditional personality with layered Indian rosewood back and sides, a solid torrefied spruce top and a beautifully executed Sunburst finish.
Its 23.5" short scale makes it exceptionally comfortable, while the compact GS Mini body produces far more projection and musical authority than its size might suggest. Add Taylor ES-B electronics with a built-in digital tuner, and this becomes an acoustic-electric that's equally useful around the house, in a songwriting session, on a weekend trip or plugged into a PA.
At Northeast Music Center, we think the Rosewood Sunburst version has a particularly appealing character. It combines everything players love about the GS Mini with a more classic acoustic-guitar appearance and the visual warmth of rosewood.

ROSEWOOD STYLE IN A GS MINI
The layered Indian rosewood back and sides give this GS Mini a distinctly traditional acoustic-guitar appearance.
Rosewood has long been associated with some of the world's most celebrated acoustic guitars, and here Taylor uses layered rosewood construction to deliver that classic visual character in a guitar designed to be durable, portable and accessible.
Taylor's layered rosewood construction uses Indian rosewood veneers around a central core, providing attractive natural wood grain while helping create a stable instrument suitable for travel and everyday use.
Paired with the Sunburst top, the overall look is considerably more traditional than many GS Mini variations.
It's compact.
It's practical.
But visually, it still has the personality of a classic acoustic guitar.
SOLID TORREFIED SPRUCE TOP
The most important tonal component is the solid torrefied spruce top.
Taylor's torrefaction process carefully heat-treats the spruce, helping give the soundboard some additional warmth and mature, played-in character while preserving the projection and dynamic response that make spruce such an effective acoustic top wood.
On the GS Mini, that combination works extremely well.
The smaller body naturally produces a focused, immediate response, while the torrefied spruce helps add warmth and musical depth.
For strumming, you get surprising projection.
For fingerstyle and lighter playing, individual notes remain articulate.
For songwriting, the guitar responds quickly enough that musical ideas don't feel restrained by its smaller dimensions.
THE GS MINI EXPERIENCE
One of the biggest reasons the GS Mini has become so successful is that Taylor didn't simply make a smaller guitar.
They made a smaller guitar that players actually want to keep playing.
The 23.5" scale length creates a softer, more relaxed string feel than a standard full-scale acoustic guitar, while the 1-11/16" nut width keeps the fretting experience familiar and comfortable.
The compact body sits easily against the player, making it particularly attractive for long practice sessions, casual playing and travel.
But convenience isn't the whole story.
The GS Mini's scaled-down body is designed to retain a bold, full musical voice despite its smaller footprint, which is why the model has become much more than a travel guitar.
SUNBURST — A CLASSIC LOOK
The Sunburst top finish changes the personality of this GS Mini considerably.
Rather than presenting the guitar as simply a compact modern Taylor, the darker outer shading and warmer center give it a more traditional acoustic aesthetic.
Taylor distinguishes this traditional SB Sunburst treatment from its lighter SEB—or Shaded Edge Burst—finish, making this particular model especially appealing to players who prefer a classic burst appearance.
Combined with the layered rosewood back and sides and Firestripe pickguard, it's one of the more traditionally styled guitars in the GS Mini family.
TAYLOR ES-B ELECTRONICS + BUILT-IN TUNER
The GS Mini-e Rosewood SB is also ready to plug in.
Taylor's ES-B electronics provide an amplified acoustic signal while incorporating a convenient built-in digital tuner.
For a guitar that may move between home practice, songwriting, rehearsal, travel and performance, that added versatility makes a lot of sense.
You can tune without reaching for another accessory, plug directly into an acoustic amplifier or PA system, and use the same guitar in situations where an unamplified travel guitar simply wouldn't be enough.

WHY THIS GS MINI STANDS OUT
There are many GS Mini variations, which makes it important that each one has a clear reason to exist.
For the GS Mini-e Rosewood Sunburst, that reason is the combination of classic looks, rosewood character and everyday practicality.
The torrefied spruce gives the guitar musical warmth.
The layered rosewood brings traditional visual appeal.
The Sunburst finish gives it personality.
The short scale makes it exceptionally comfortable.
And the ES-B system turns it into much more than an unplugged travel guitar.
It's the kind of acoustic you can leave within reach because it's so convenient—and then discover that you're using it far more often than guitars twice its size.
THE NORTHEAST MUSIC CENTER PERSPECTIVE
At Northeast Music Center, we've always appreciated instruments that make musicians want to pick them up more often.
That may be the GS Mini's greatest accomplishment.
It's small enough that playing doesn't feel like an event. You don't need to make room for it, prepare for a practice session or decide whether taking your good guitar somewhere is worth the trouble.
You simply pick it up and play.
The GS Mini-e Rosewood SB adds a beautiful traditional visual personality to that proven formula. For the songwriter, traveling musician, experienced guitarist looking for an easy-to-grab acoustic or newer player who prefers a smaller instrument, it makes a tremendous amount of sense.
As a proud authorized Taylor dealer, Northeast Music Center can help you compare this Rosewood Sunburst model with our other GS Mini variations and determine which combination of tonewoods, electronics and appearance best suits you.
