A bit of history: 'Orville by Gibson' was created in homage to the founder of the brand Orville Gibson. Production began in April 1988, in order to combat the 'perfect copies' made by Greco, Aria, Tokaï etc... Orville manufacturing was stopped in 1997.

Orville is a GIBSON, with Japanese know-how. Exemplary finish. The neck/body junction has been improved for even better sustain, moreover, the process was taken up by GIBSON USA..)

Magnificent Orville by Gibson Les Paul Standard CherrySunburst, made in Japan in 1991.

Dense mahogany, chrome hardware. Beautiful maple top and sublime rosewood fingerboard.

Frets in very good condition: 8/10, top playability.

Immediate handling, we are on Gibson... Japan.

The number of years has improved it.

Sound-wise: The GIBSON PAT Number 2.737.842 pickups are the ancestors of the 490, 498, Classic ’57 etc… They offer fabulous harmonics, a strong sonic warmth and a powerful gain: the “real GIBSON sound” (they are much more precise than the new Gibson pickups which are lower in quality = too compressed).
