This beauty was bought new by my musician father, and given to me in 1984 as a graduation present, and its still in PRISTINE condition (due to my lack of playing ability).
You have found the Holy Grail of 1978 Musicmaster short scale bass guitars!
While trying to value this piece, I was unable to find a guitar in similar condition - there are NO nicks in the finish - body or neck, no scratches, no cracks in the pick guard, minimal fret wear of course, and even the white finish shows minimal yellow fade as so many of these guitars have. This is a true original, with all original hardware/electronics/parts (except strings).
Local musician friends are amazed by it, and the few I've allowed LOVE the way this guitar plays!
The hard case is included, but has a few scratches and normal wear on the outside, etc. The case is considered as-is for the sake of argument.
I have kept this guitar for sentimental reasons, as my father passed years ago, but it is time for it to be passed on to more talented hands so it can spread its musical joy once again.
