We are beyond ecstatic to present to you this Summer of 1960 slab board Fender Precision Bass in great condition and perfect working order. It's comfortable Brazilian rosewood slab-board fingerboard is harmonized with a balanced neck contour that is simply beyond words. Nothing can beat the bloom and woody thump of a Precision bass. This soulful beauty comes complete with its original brown tolex case. The body looks to have an old refin on top of the original sunburst. The neck retains its original finish, Fender decal, tuners, string retainer, and nut. The tightly grained, dark slab of Brazilian Rosewood is complimented with its perfectly aged clay dots. The naturally rolled edges are simply to die for. This is honest play wear and not a relic job. As seen in the pickup cavity, the neck date, and the serial number on the neck plate (48256), this bass began its journey in May of 1960. To our knowlege, the pickups, bridge, pots, and guard look old but not original which the price reflects. This one in particular has a distinct mid-range growl to it that truly delivers and fills the mix. The rarity of this early model make this one a great find. The case is in good condition for its age, but one of the latches could use some work. The hinges all work well and the "spine" of the case it healthy.
