Shin-Ei Psychedelic Machine Vibe (same circuit as vibe bro), Fuzz, Octive (230v for UK) 2022
This item is BRAND NEW LIMITED EDITION PEDAL which Shin ei no longer sells for UK market. This pedal is for UK 230v power supply or any country with 230v power supply
FEATURES
We have meticulously integrated all three iconic vintage effects into one unit. The Vibe circuit is identical to the original first year "Honey" Uni-Vibe circuit made popular by artists such as Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour and Robin Trower. We used the same attention to detail in the fuzz and octave circuits which are based on an original 1960's BC109 Fuzz and 1970's Tycobrahe Octave device. You will find this device is extremely quiet when compared to other effects in the same categories.
VIBE CIRCUIT - BYPASS/PREAMP SIGNAL PATHWhen using the Vibe effect, you can choose either the "TRUE BYPASS" or the original vintage vibe circuit "PREAMP" mode via the "Signal Path" slider switch on the rear of the unit.
DIMENSIONSThe Psychedelic Machine measures 8.5 x 5.5 x 3.00 inches - 21.59 x 12.7 x 7.62 cm.
INTERNATIONAL VERSION
This UK version of the Psychedelic Machine is 230V. Due to local international regulations and the many different styles of wall sockets that differ from country to country, international units are not shipped with C13 IEC wall cables.
QUALITY PARTS AND CONSTRUCTIONThe Psychedelic Machine is built using the highest quality parts and materials available. NOS electronic components are used wherever possible including (but not limited to) carbon composition resistors, NOS Telefunken and Matsushita transistors, Mullard mustard capacitors and germanium diodes.
FROM THE PEDAL BUILDER
Psychedelic Machine features the exact same vibe circuit as the Vibe-Bro. Vibe bro is no longer in production.
1. The fuzz circuit is based on Eric Johnson's blue 1968 BC109 Silicon Fuzz Face which we had in our hands for over a month to reverse engineer. It features NOS 60's vintage Siemens/Telefunken BC109 transistors intentionally mismatched like the originals. It cleans up incredibly well and we added an extra part that supresses the common Fuzz Face flaw of receiving radio stations when your guitar volume is set to zero.
2. The Psychedelic Machine's Octave circuit is based on Jimi Hendrix's actual Octavia he used with the Band of Gypsys at his New Year's Eve gig at The Fillmore East 1969/70. A friend of ours in Europe won it at auction in June of 2020 and I have had the good fortune of playing it for many hours.
Secret: The trick with Jimi's Octavia (and our octave circuit) is to set the pedal at half gain and volume while using your Strat volume around 5-7 on the neck pickup. This will give you a very similar sound to what he used during his solo on "Who Knows". It's is actually a very gainy effect due to its three transistors. Much louder than a Fuzz Face. Less is more.
