Stacking cymbals by placing two or more directly on top of one another is a great way to instantly change your sound. The Meinl Classics Custom 16” stack consists of a Classics Custom 16” Trash Crash (top cymbal) and a Classics Custom 16” Trash China (bottom cymbal). With both cymbals positioned right side up (china not inverted), the stack gives you a bright cutting trash sound with a short lived sustain. The larger size of the two cymbals makes this stack ideal for crash riding effects. Specially cut holes in each cymbal dry out the sound and eliminate any overtones or rattling. The configuration was imagined and tested by Meinl Cymbal R&D, the goal being to produce a pre-packaged stack that is both sonically and physically great fun to play.
