Title: Korg KR-55 Analog Rhythm Machine (c. 1979) – Tested & Working, Includes Service Manual, Great Vintage Condition

Description:

Up for sale is a classic Korg KR-55, the analog drum machine from the late '70s that's become a favorite for its warm, punchy, unmistakably vintage sound. Think lo-fi beats, synth-pop, and that dusty preset-rhythm character you just can't get from samples.

For a machine over 40 years old, this one is in impressively good shape. It powers on reliably, and all voices and preset rhythms have been tested and are working.

Cosmetic condition: Light wear consistent with age: minor scuffs on the case, faint scratches on the top panel. Panel graphics and labels are clear and legible. No cracks or major damage. Please see photos for an honest look at its condition.

Features:

• Fully analog drum voices
• Preset rhythm patterns with variations [verify the count on your unit's panel]
• Intro/fill-in function
• Adjustable tempo and instrument balance controls
• Trigger output for syncing with vintage Korg synths and sequencers

Built to be modded: This machine is begging for it. The KR-55's discrete analog circuitry makes it a great candidate for individual voice outputs, trigger inputs, pitch and decay controls, or whatever else you can dream up. To get you started, I'm including printed copies of both the service manual (with schematics) and the operation manual.

Includes: KR-55 unit, printed service manual, printed operation manual [plus power cable / footswitch, etc., if applicable]

Honestly, I'm sad to let this one go. It's an inspiring machine that's sparked a lot of ideas, but it deserves to be played, not sitting on a shelf. I'm hoping it finds a new home where it can keep singing with the same excitement and unbridled ambition it brought to mine.

Ships carefully double-boxed with plenty of padding. Feel free to message with any questions, and I'm happy to send additional photos or a sound demo.
