DW Rare Workshop Series Drumset

The famed Workshop Series. So the story goes, DW wanted to experiment with expanding from just custom kits. So they took their North American Rock Maple shells - the exact shells from the Collectors series, and just didn’t have reinforcement rings. They used a modified oval lug design, which of course later became Pacific’s lug. These kits were only made for a short time before DW realized it was not cost-effective to produce them.

So yes, these are the exact shells used in Collector’s kits. For the money, they’re probably the best drums on the planet.

These drums have some gigging scars and thus they’re not perfect, however overall they look great. Standard DW sizes from the era- 22x18 bass drum, all 4 Tom’s are suspended. 10x8, 12x9, 14x11, 16x13.
