The Audio-Technica AT2020 is a side-address condenser microphone with a fixed-charge back plate and permanently polarized condenser element. It uses a 16 mm low-mass diaphragm to capture vocals and acoustic instruments with extended frequency response and solid transient detail. The cardioid polar pattern focuses on the sound source while reducing pickup from the sides and rear. This mic handles up to 144 dB SPL and runs on standard 48V phantom power. It has a 3-pin XLRM-type output connector and a metal body for durability in home and project studio use.
