Yes you are looking at a listing for one of the rare 40th Anniversary Telecasters! And if you are a Keith Urban fan, this is the holy grail! Not only is it the same one as his "Clarence" Tele but it is (secretly) signed by him!

Let's start with the guitar's history:

I'm the second owner. First owner bought it and mostly kept it in storage until he parted ways with it. I bought it years ago and it's pretty much continued to live that same life. I will mention that when I got it the truss rod rattled a little. I took it to a luthier in the area that handles bigger jobs like that and he determined it was because the wood shrunk slightly from the age of the guitar. However, he was not concerned with it but said if it bugged me I could have it fixed...so I did. The fix involved pulling frets, injecting silicon into a couple spots in the truss rod cavity, then refretting with the same spec frets, and finishing the top of the board off in nitro (the headstock and back of the neck are still factory poly finish-to preserve the decal and serial number on back of headstock). The work was top notch and you would never know of the "repair" if I hadn't told you. Perfectly blended finish and tint. The truss rod works fine and the guitar looks incredible...one expensive repair bill later (lol).

The Keith Urban signature: I've been a big fan of his for years. One tour I was fortunate to land front row and Keith (being the coolest guy) is known to sign things after the show is over. I brought the pick guard with me and asked him to sign the inside of it (see pictures/I have video proof too).

You're probably wondering why I had him sign the inside...We'll it's because I didn't want the signature to ever wear off. Also it doesn't affect the look of the guitar, and it's a fun secret the owner will always know!

These guitars are very rare. 100 of each color was made and this one is a low serial. The original COA was missing so I had to basically dismantle the guitar and take photos of every inch of it before Fender would consider issuing me a new one. Other than the truss rod repair listed, the guitar is all original. Cosmetically it's excellent for its age. There is some light pick scratches on the pickguard but no chips or deep scratches anywhere. Not bad for an almost 40 year old guitar! Serious buyers, I'd be happy to submit more photos if need be. Thanks!

This all being said, I'm not desperate to sell but if I can get the right price I'd let it go.

PLEASE NO TRADES.
