This 2013 Custom Shop J-45 features a solid Adirondack spruce top and a VOS (Vintage Original Spec) finish, giving it the weathered, understated look of a vintage Gibson.

Sound
The heart of this guitar is its Adirondack spruce top, known for fast response and a strong, firm voice. Hand-scalloped X bracing delivers warm mids and a tight low end. Strum chords and the sound fills the room with real presence; play fingerstyle and every note keeps a strong core.

Electronics & Use
The pickup has been upgraded to the highly regarded L.R. Baggs Dual Source, which combines an under-saddle pickup with an internal condenser microphone. Blending the two adds the airy feel of a mic to the clarity of the pickup. Volume and mix controls let you shape the sound for your setting, and the line output makes it ready for the stage. It suits singer-songwriters, band settings, and recording alike. The bridge pins are ebony, and the tuners have been restored to the originals.

Condition

Frets have roughly 90% life remaining. Action is set at 2.2mm (1st string) / 2.4mm (6th string) at the 12th fret, so it plays comfortably right out of the case. Weight is approximately 1.9kg. The original Gibson hard case is included.
