JBL 705P 5-Inch 2-Way Master Reference Monitor

The JBL 705P delivers compact yet authoritative studio monitoring with dual 250W amplification and a precisely engineered 5-inch woofer paired with a high-frequency transducer. This nearfield reference monitor sits comfortably on stands or console surfaces without dominating physical space, while maintaining the acoustic authority needed for critical mixing and mastering decisions. Built on JBL's professional audio heritage, the 705P is engineered for the control room where accuracy matters.

Audio Performance & Accuracy

The dual amplification design—250W dedicated to each the 2409H high-frequency transducer and 725G 5-inch low-frequency driver—ensures clean, independent signal paths with minimal harmonic distortion. Frequency response of 45Hz–25kHz (3 dB) covers the critical listening range, with maximum peak SPL exceeding 107 dB SPL at 1 meter, providing sufficient headroom for professional mixing without acoustic compression or fatigue.

Design & Build Quality

The reinforced birch plywood enclosure resists resonance and cabinet coloration, while the 1.9 kHz crossover frequency delivers smooth driver integration across the spectrum. Mounting flexibility—top, bottom, and rear mounting points with 2-hole pattern—integrates seamlessly into wall-mounted or standalone console configurations; at 5.68 kg (12.5 lbs) each, placement adjustments are practical without requiring installation hardware.
