Up for sale is an incredibly resonant, single-owner 1975/1976 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe in its original transparent Natural finish over a carved maple top.I bought this guitar from a pawnshop when I was 16 years old, and it has been my personal instrument for nearly 40 years. It is a fantastic, honest player's piece that perfectly encapsulates the mid-70s Gibson rock era.The Factory Timeline & Verification:

• The Wood: The neck construction and factory "MADE IN USA" stamp with a 00-prefix serial number (00136375) isolates the body and 3-piece maple neck construction to late 1975.
• The Pots (100% Original): The electronics are completely untouched. The potentiometer codes read 1377613, confirming they were manufactured by CTS in the 13th week of 1976, with the matching Gibson factory part number 70-034.
• Note: It was standard factory practice at the Gibson Nashville plant for late-1975 stamped bodies to be finished, wired with fresh 1976 electronics, and shipped out in early 1976.

Condition & Player Notes:

• Pickups: The original Gibson mini-humbuckers sound phenomenal—bright, punchy, and articulate.
• Tuners: Features period-correct Grover Deluxe tuners (installed before I purchased it in '87). They look excellent and hold tuning flawlessly.
• Cosmetics: This is a true, authentic vintage instrument. The back shows natural belt-buckle rash and finish swirling from decades of real stage wear. The plastic neck binding shows typical mid-70s age checking and minor hairline cracking near the fret ends, which is purely cosmetic and completely normal for Gibson nitro finishes of this era.
• Electronics Note: The output jack has a slight, intermittent short when the cable is wiggled heavily. It functions and plays fine as-is, but would benefit from a quick spray of contact cleaner or a minor prong adjustment.

Original Gen 1 "Chainsaw" Case Included:
Includes the highly collectible, original Gibson Gen 1 "Chainsaw" Protector hardshell case with the striking purple velvet interior. The molded polymer shell is indestructible and all latches are 100% functional, snappy, and secure.

*Please note two typical 70s wear items:* 1. The original molded plastic Bruce handle succumbed to typical 70s plastic dry rot and has separated (original broken handle pieces are safely preserved and included in the case pocket for historical authenticity). 2. The back of the case shell is missing two of its original molded rivet feet. The case still closes tightly and protects the guitar perfectly, but I want to be 100% transparent for collectors.

This guitar has a wonderful history and is ready for its next chapter. It will ship securely packaged and fully insured. Please feel free to message me with any questions!
