The Ottobit X is a modular hybrid machine that recreates the nostalgic, cutting-edge sounds of the 1980s.
It recreates the lo-fi sounds of vintage 80s video games through sound degradation and texture-building techniques.
Building on the legacy of the previous Ottobit series, it features improved bitcrush and step-stutter effects, advanced sequencing capabilities, as well as glitch mode, filters, a preamp, a pitch shifter, and modulation.

The newly added VHS delay and reverb create sounds and textures unlike anything heard before.
It also features a newly added real-time vinyl scratch looper, one-button looper, and tape stop (with variable speed control) to enable real-time performance effects.
