Since its release in 1981, the SD-1 SUPER OverDrive has continued to reign as a masterpiece for guitarists of all genres.
Inheriting the innovative asymmetric clipping circuit of the OD-1 OverDrive?which debuted in 1977 as the first BOSS compact pedal?the SD-1 continues to inspire guitarists with its musical and mellow drive sound.
In 2021, an anniversary model was released to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the SD-1.
The black housing features the iconic Overdrive Yellow lettering, gold-capped knobs, and silver screws?a hallmark of vintage BOSS compact pedals?for battery replacement.
It comes packaged in a box adorned with a special 40th-anniversary logo.
