Vintage 1970's Univox Hi-Flier (Phase II) Electric Bass Guitar w/ Fender Gig Bag!

Up for sale is this vintage early 1970's Univox Hi-Flier (Phase II) electric bass guitar. This one has clearly had a life of full-time rock n' roll, so please read the entire description and see all of the photos...

This instrument is all original with the exception of the pickguard screws, missing bridge cover, and the washer and screw holding the bridge pickup in on the treble side (the original ring is cracked). The original white finish shows HEAVY wear, including checking, nicks, dings, flaking, and some touch-up here and there. The cracks on the side of the neck pocket (pictured) look to just be in the finish and the instrument is structually sound. The neck does have a few decent-sized dings (pictured) that can be felt while playing.

This one has just been gone over by our tech who cleaned it up, oiled the fretboard, sprayed out the electronics, and adjusted the set up a bit. It turned out to be a good playing example of the model with comfortable action all the way up the neck. As is typical with these instruments, it is not perfect and there is some buzz here and there. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should. All of the electronics work as they should as well and the original pickups sound great.

A used Fender gig bag is included but shows heavy wear including some separation around the edges. The zipper works fine and it's fine to carry the bass around in. The instrument will be well-packed inside and out to ensure safe shipping.
