The Strymon Compadre combines a dual-voice compressor with a clean or dirty boost in one pedal. The compressor section offers two distinct compression styles, while the boost section provides three EQ shapes selectable via the Boost EQ switch. A Dry knob blends uncompressed signal back in for parallel compression effects. The pedal supports both true bypass and buffered bypass modes, and includes a TRS jack for expression pedal, footswitch, or MIDI control.

Compression amount, boost level, and dry signal blend are controlled via three top-mounted knobs. The boost section can be engaged independently or stacked with the compressor. Power-up modes allow selection of bypass type and MIDI/favorite switch behavior without menu diving.
