This gorgeous Hofner 185 Artist bass looks spectacular in its black and white vinyl and is giving serious 1960s modernist vibes! With the boom of solid body electric basses in the 50s and 60s, instrument manufacturers were struggling to meet the increasing demand. By using vinyl wraps, Hofner eliminated the drying process from the finish stage of their guitars which streamlined their production efficiency to meet demand and result in some really striking instruments!

Keeping it monochrome with it's double-cut, offset body wrapped with a white textured vinyl wrap and black scratch plate, loaded with a set of the same Hofner staple humbuckers that helped put their Violin basses on the map, this Artist Bass delivers all the thump and groove of the era. The short scale neck feels great and the fretboard plays excellently from top to bottom.
