Great condition. Was a secret weapon on my old board. An always on pedal that you really notice if you turn it off

The Aphex Guitar Xciter is an effects pedal that uses studio-grade psychoacoustic enhancement to improve clarity, punch, and low-end depth for electric guitars.

Key Features and Technology

• Aural Exciter: Reintroduces and enhances natural high-frequency harmonics, adding sparkle, sheen, and presence without adding harsh distortion or altering your base volume.

• Optical Big Bottom: Dynamically enhances and deepens low-frequency resonance for a warmer, fuller sound, featuring a built-in compressor/limiter to keep peaks controlled.

• Controls: Four main knobs let you independently tune and blend both the low and high frequencies to match your specific instrument and amplifier.

• Connectivity: Includes a 1/4" instrument input/output and a balanced XLR DI output with a ground lift switch.

• Power: Runs on a standard 9V battery or an external AC adapter.

Tone Enhancement Overview

Users on Reddit r/guitarpedals generally agree that the pedal acts as a subtle "secret weapon" to make clean tones pop and help leads cut through a live mix, functioning differently than a standard graphic EQ by rebuilding lost harmonic content.
