Strandberg Boden OS 7

This 2015 Strandberg Boden OS 7 provides the signature ergonomic design and lightweight construction that defined the brand's early production success. It features a high-performance pickup upgrade and the patented EndurNeck profile, making it a functional tool for technical players seeking comfort in a 7-string format.

The Boden OS 7 was a milestone for Strandberg, bringing their boutique custom shop ergonomics to a broader market while maintaining strict quality control. This instrument is built around a lightweight swamp ash body, providing a resonant and punchy tonal foundation. The EndurNeck profile is designed to shift the position of the thumb as you move up the neck, encouraging a more natural hand orientation and reducing strain during extended playing sessions. The multi-scale arrangement ensures proper tension on the lower strings while maintaining playability for lead work on the higher strings.

This specific unit has been upgraded with a set of Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers, replacing the original Lace Sensors. This modification offers two distinct voicings per pickup, ranging from high-output active tones to a more organic, passive character. These pickups excel in high-gain environments, providing exceptional note separation even with complex chord voicings. The original Lace Sensor pickups are included with the guitar for those who prefer the stock configuration.

The guitar is in good condition. There are signs of use consistent with an instrument of this age, but there is no significant structural damage. There are dents and dings in a few places on the body. The frets are in good shape with plenty of height remaining, and the electronics operate silently and as intended. The hardware remains fully functional, offering the stable tuning and easy string changes associated with the Strandberg EGS system.
