Valencia VC704 700 Series Classical Guitar

The Valencia VC704
The Valencia VC704 is a handcrafted classical guitar from the Valencia Series 700, built by master luthiers for players who want classical excellence in a 4/4-size instrument. Finished in a natural satin finish, the VC704 is designed to deliver a playing experience "like no other," combining a wide dynamic range with the look, tone, and feel of a premium classical guitar. Every element of its construction — from tonewood selection to decorative detailing — reflects a commitment to craftsmanship that goes beyond a standard instrument.

Tonewood & Construction
At the heart of the VC704 is a Solid Sitka Spruce top, paired with innovative ToneFlow bracing (a Spanish fan bracing pattern) that gives the guitar an outstanding dynamic range, responding with articulation and detail even to the lightest touch. The back and sides are crafted from Premium Mahogany in an arched-back design, adding low-mid richness to the tone. The top, sides, and back center strip are finished with multi-ply Rosewood binding (4-ply on the top, 3-ply on the sides, 5-ply on the back center strip), giving the body a refined, detailed edge treatment throughout.
Neck & Playability
The VC704's neck is built from Premium Mahogany, reinforced with an Amara Ebony strip for stability, and topped with an Amara Ebony fingerboard — a combination the maker describes as delivering "exquisite playability." The fingerboard features inlaid neck side dots and 19 nickel frets (with 12 meeting the body), while a two-way truss rod allows for precise neck adjustment. The neck heel is finished with a 3-ply Amara Ebony multi-veneer, tying the neck's detailing into the guitar's overall aesthetic. At the headstock, an Amara Ebony 3-ply multi-veneer is custom-engraved with the Valencia logo, and Valencia's custom decorated diecast machine heads — nickel-plated with satin black buttons — complete the look.
Tone, Detail & Finish
Beyond its tonewoods, the VC704 is finished with a number of decorative and functional details that round out its character. The rosette is an inlaid, natural wood mosaic design, and the bridge — crafted from Amara Ebony — carries matching wood mosaic decoration. The bridge saddle and top nut both use Graph Tech NuBone (the saddle in the XB variant), materials chosen for their tonal clarity and consistency. The guitar is strung with USA-made strings. Together, exotic wood veneers, the inlaid mosaic rosette, and the custom machine heads combine to create, in the maker's words, a classical guitar that "exceeds expectations in looks, tone and feel." With a standard 4/4 scale length of 650mm (25 5/8") and a nut width of 52mm (2 1/16"), the VC704 is built to standard classical proportions, making it a versatile, expressive instrument for classical guitar players seeking a premium handcrafted feel.
Why We Love This
Our gear experts appreciate the VC704 for its remarkable responsiveness — the Solid Sitka Spruce top and ToneFlow bracing capture even the lightest touch with articulation and detail, while Premium Mahogany back and sides add low-mid warmth. Its Amara Ebony fingerboard and reinforced Mahogany neck deliver exquisite playability, letting players move confidently across the fretboard. Beyond performance, the inlaid wood mosaic rosette, custom-engraved headstock, and decorated machine heads give the instrument a handcrafted beauty that matches its expressive, dynamic sound.
