Vintage 1950's Ring-Spring Crystal Microphone, working, unique, heavy! (Hear it)

Offering a vintage 1950's uniquely-presented Astatic D-104 Crystal Microphone. This one-of-a-kind will truly be the stand-out piece of any vintage microphone collection. The chromed Astatic head has been cleverly spring-mounted within a vintage era ring/yoke assembly made of heavy steel. The crystal element produces a strong clean signal, and you can hear on the voice sample within the listing video. The stand base is made of a very weighty cast iron, with the entire microphone measuring 15" tall by 6" wide.

The Astatic D-104 microphone was introduced in 1933 and became known for its high frequency response, making it popular among radio operators. Production continued with little change until 2001, when it was discontinued after nearly 68 years of manufacturing. Wolfman Jack, a famous radio personality, was known for using the Astatic D-104 microphone during his broadcasts. His association with the microphone helped solidify its status in the broadcasting community, contributing to its iconic reputation. The Astatic D-104 remains a sought-after item for collectors and audio enthusiasts, appreciated for its historical significance and unique sound quality. You'll never see another presented in this way. Make it your own!
