Mackie GB-100 Rechargeable Battery for Thump GO & Showbox Loudspeakers

Mackie GB-100 Rechargeable battery
The Mackie GB-100 is a rechargeable battery pack engineered specifically for two of Mackie's most popular portable loudspeakers — the Thump GO and the ShowBox. Designed for performers, presenters, and anyone who needs reliable, wire-free audio wherever they go, the GB-100 delivers the freedom to perform without the anxiety of hunting for a power outlet. Whether you're playing an outdoor festival, setting up a pop-up event, or simply want the confidence of uninterrupted sound, the GB-100 is the power solution Mackie built with you in mind.

Up to 12 hours of continuous playtime
The GB-100 provides up to 12 hours of playtime on a single charge when paired with either the ShowBox or Thump GO. That's more than enough to cover a full day of performances, presentations, or events on a single swap. For most gigs, a single GB-100 is all you'll ever need — and with that kind of runtime, you can focus entirely on your performance rather than your power levels. Whether it's a two-hour wedding ceremony, an all-day market, or a back-to-back club night, the GB-100 keeps the music going.
Double your endurance with a second battery
Because the GB-100 is hot-swap compatible, adding a second pack effectively doubles your total playtime to a remarkable 24 hours. The swap is quick and seamless, meaning you won't miss a beat — literally. Two GB-100s and a compatible Mackie speaker is all it takes to power a full day from sunrise to midnight and beyond. Mackie even cheekily acknowledges the possibility of the 24-hour gig on the product page, and while they can't officially recommend it, the GB-100 is more than up to the task should you decide to go for it.
The same battery that ships with your speaker
One of the most reassuring things about the GB-100 is that it's the exact same battery included in the box with both the ShowBox and the Thump GO. This isn't a third-party workaround or an afterthought accessory — it's the genuine Mackie component, built to the same spec and quality standards as the original. That means perfect compatibility, consistent performance, and no guesswork about fit or runtime. Owning a spare GB-100 also provides valuable peace of mind for regular shows: even if you never need the extra hours, knowing a fresh, fully charged battery is in your bag means you'll never be caught short by an unexpected power issue mid-set.
Why We Love This
Our gear experts love the GB-100 because it removes one of live performance's biggest stressors: running out of power. With up to 12 hours of playtime and the ability to swap in a second pack for 24 hours total, it offers genuine flexibility for outdoor gigs, touring, and spontaneous performances. Because it's the same battery that ships with the Thump GO and ShowBox, it's a trusted, known quantity — not a gamble. That reliability is everything when you're on stage.
