Martin SC-10E Modern Sapele
New for 2026, the Martin SC-10E Modern Sapele is a Road Series acoustic-electric guitar built for players who demand both performance and versatility. Part of Martin's S-13 Fret Cutaway body family, this instrument bridges the gap between traditional acoustic warmth and modern playability demands. Its SC body and patented Sure Align® neck system give you full access to every fret, so you can move effortlessly between chords, leads, and solos. Finished in a rich Dark Mahogany satin, the SC-10E is a guitar designed to take your music further, whether in the practice room, on the stage, or in the studio.

Tone Rooted in All-Solid Sapele
At the heart of the SC-10E's character is its all-solid sapele construction. The all-solid sapele construction delivers a rich midrange, airy trebles, and a touch of high-end sparkle that suits a variety of styles. The top, back, and sides are all crafted from sapele, a tonewoood celebrated for its warm, balanced sonic profile. The bracing pattern — a Tone Tension X-Brace with treble-side scalloped X and non-scalloped tone bars made from spruce — is engineered to maximize tonal resonance and projection. A White Tusq saddle with a 16" radius and a single ring fiber rosette round out the tonal and aesthetic details that make this guitar both aurally and visually compelling.
A Neck Built for Modern Players
The Low Profile Velocity neck feels fast and familiar, like your favorite electric, making the SC-10E an approachable choice for players transitioning from electric guitar or anyone who values speed and comfort in their playing. The neck features a High-Performance Taper, a 25.4" scale length, and a fingerboard width of 1 3/4" at the nut — ideal for players seeking precision and ease across all 20 frets. The fingerboard and neck are crafted from select hardwood with diamond-and-square faux mother-of-pearl inlays, adding a refined visual touch. The patented Sure Align® Linear Dovetail Neck Joint ensures the neck and body remain in perfect alignment, contributing to lasting playability and intonation stability.
Stage-Ready Electronics and Thoughtful Finishing
The SC-10E is equipped with Martin E1 electronics, providing reliable amplified tone with a built-in tuner to keep performers ready at a moment's notice. A satin finish and diamond-and-square inlays complete the look, while satin chrome enclosed gear tuning machines offer smooth, consistent tuning performance. The faux tortoise pickguard adds a classic aesthetic flourish. The headplate is finished in Brazilian Rosewood HPL with a script ink Martin logo, honoring the brand's storied heritage. With a softshell case included, the SC-10E Modern Sapele is built for players ready to take their music further.
