2022 Gibson Custom Shop 1957 Les Paul Standard Reissue VOS Goldtop (R7)

Beautiful 2022 Gibson Custom Shop ’57 Les Paul Standard Reissue Goldtop with VOS finish. This guitar originally came through the Gibson Demo Shop and has the factory “DEMO” stamp on the back of the headstock, as pictured.

This is a genuine Gibson Custom Shop Historic Reissue and includes the Gibson Repair & Restoration Certificate of Authenticity, Gibson Aftermarket Certification and Warranty Evaluation sheet, original brown/pink Gibson Lifton-style hardshell case, and pictured case candy/accessories.

The 2022 model also features the 1952-2022 Les Paul 70th Anniversary medallion on the rear switch cavity.

This is the classic R7 setup with a Goldtop finish, substantial ‘50s-style neck, rosewood fingerboard, humbuckers, ABR-1 bridge and lightweight-style stopbar configuration. It’s a fantastic example of the late-’50s Les Paul feel and sound.

The Gibson inspection performed on 1/23/2025 gave the guitar an overall score of 4.2 / Good, with essentially all functional/playability categories receiving a 5. The cosmetic notes from Gibson include:

• Light scuff on the bass-side waist
• Slightly inconsistent VOS finish on the headstock
• Light scratch near the B-string tuning peg
• Light scratch below the Gibson logo
• Slightly rough binding scraping on the bass-side shoulder
• Naturally aged/VOS appearance to the tuners, bridge, tailpiece and pickups

These are minor cosmetic items and are shown/described for full transparency. The frets, fretboard, nut, electronics, neck relief, action, intonation and playability all received full scores on Gibson’s evaluation.

The guitar presents extremely well overall. The Goldtop looks fantastic and the VOS hardware gives it the proper vintage appearance. Please look closely through all photos for condition.
