This a beautiful un-played, NOS, Michael Kelly Mod Shop Duncan Patriot Instinct, with a Scorched Quilted Maple Top, Seymour Duncan P-Rail pickups with Triple-Shot switching, and OHSC, all in immaculate condition. Purchased for a Studio that never happened; it has been stored since new. One of my "Unicorns" as these Mod Shop Duncan Patriot Instinct's with SD P-Rails have been out of production for a few years, and here is this one last one just as it left the factory (or more precisely - Sweetwater).

Sweetwater, who do a constantly wonderful job of QA and setup, have long been my first choice when buying New because in addition to their great quality control they also show multiple pictures of the actual guitar, S/N and list it's weight. So I select the lightest weight after first choosing by the wood grain pattern I like best, and this one (IMHO) is a real beauty.

Michael Kelly Mod Shop Duncan Patriot Instinct with Seymour Duncan P-Rails and Triple Shot:

The Patriot Instinct has been Michael Kelly best selling Patriot models of all-time. It is a potent combination of performance, looks and playability. MK love to explore new places to go with the Instinct sonically. For this Mod Shop version they teamed with Seymour Duncan.

SD had the perfect match for this guitar with their P-Rails pickup set and Triple Shot switching system. The P-Rails are essentially three pickups in one and allows players to choose between P-90, Single-Coil, and full Humbucker settings. The Triple Shot switching system expands the tonal options even further with coil splitting and Series/Parallel options. In fact combining a set of Duncan P-Rails and 2 Triple Shots gives you 24 different tonal choices. The Mod Shop Duncan Patriot Instinct is hands down the most tonally versatile Patriot Michael Kelly has ever offered.

You'll note by the "Custom Collection" designation on the Truss Rod cover, that this Mod Shop Duncan Patriot Instinct is part of Michael Kelly's top of the line limited Custom Collection. The "Custom Collection" designation on Michael Kelly instruments signifies a limited-run build that pairs an exotic highly figured wood top and unique aesthetic details like a distinct genuine abalone stripe and specialized inlays – along with upgraded performance features.

When applied to the Mod Shop Duncan Patriot Instinct line, the Custom Collection build serves as an elite tier that elevates the standard model with premium component options.

The "Custom Collection" version of the Michael Kelly Mod Shop Duncan Scorched Patriot Instinct is notable for its exceptional tonal versatility, premium [Mod Shop] upgraded pickups and electronics, and striking cosmetic appointments.
