🖤 Meet Bellatrix! 🖤

Jackson JS32 Warrior • 2019 • Satin Black • Double-Locking Tremolo

There are guitars designed to sit politely on a stand in the corner of the room.

Bellatrix appears to have been designed to prevent anybody else from sitting in the room at all.

🏷️ Adoption Fee: £400🏷️

We have had quite a few pointy guitars through the workshop.

We have even reached the stage where objects with fewer than four aggressively sharpened extremities can occasionally look a little underdressed.

But the Jackson Warrior remains special.

Because somebody, somewhere, looked at the already fairly unreasonable shapes being produced for heavy metal guitarists and thought:

More corners.

Bellatrix is a 2019 Jackson JS Series Warrior JS32, finished in Satin Black and, despite being several years old, she appears to have spent most of that time being extraordinarily well protected.

She is, frankly, ridiculous condition-wise.

Underneath all those angles is a 25.5” scale Warrior body paired with a bolt-on maple neck, reinforced with graphite to provide a little structural reassurance to an instrument which otherwise looks like it should require planning permission.

The fingerboard carries Jackson’s enormous pearloid sharkfin inlays across 24 jumbo frets, with a compound radius that flattens as you head towards the dusty end.

Although, realistically, there isn’t much of a dusty end here.

The lower horn has apparently been engineered specifically to ensure you can reach every single fret while looking like you’re attempting to summon something.

At the other end sits Jackson’s unmistakable pointed six-in-line headstock, complete with matching black Jackson sealed tuners and a locking nut.

Because Bellatrix also has a double-locking tremolo.

Naturally.

The Jackson-branded system lets you perform all the usual dive bombs, squeals and deeply irresponsible pitch-related behaviour while doing its absolute best to ensure the strings return to somewhere resembling where you left them.

Providing the noise are a pair of Jackson high-output zebra humbuckers.

They’re controlled by a three-way toggle, master volume and master tone, because when your guitar looks like this, an unnecessarily complicated control layout would really just be showing off.

The pickups are hot, punchy and entirely at home with distortion, with plenty of bite from the bridge and a thicker neck sound when required.

And we really do need to return to the condition.

Because Warriors have a problem.

They have points.

Lots of points.

Points which traditionally spend their lives becoming intimately acquainted with doorframes, amplifiers, furniture, drum hardware and the floor.

Bellatrix’s have somehow survived.

The Satin Black finish is exceptionally clean, the hardware presents beautifully, the neck is lovely, and even the extremities have escaped the sort of battle scars we’d normally expect.

In fact, she’s been looked after so carefully that the original protective plastic is STILL on the rear cavity covers.

We haven’t removed it.

Obviously.

After surviving since 2019, peeling that off ourselves would feel vaguely criminal.

That particular satisfaction belongs to her next owner. 😂

She’s not just unusually clean for a Warrior.

She’s unusually clean, full stop.

And somebody was clearly determined to keep her that way, because Bellatrix doesn’t leave here naked.

She comes with her proper fitted Jackson moulded hard case, shaped specifically to accommodate all four of those ludicrous appendages and built like something you’d expect to find chained to a government courier.

Inside you’ll also find her tremolo arm and the original little bag of tools and accessories.

Essentially, somebody bought the full package, kept all the little bits that normally disappear into the Great Guitar Accessory Void, treated the guitar remarkably well and left the protective film on the back.

For seven years.

At this point, we’re not touching it either. 🤣

As always, Bellatrix has been through the workshop for a full health check and setup, including our usual fret levelling, crowning and polishing, so she’s ready to leave us playing exactly as something this pointy should.

Fast.

Low.

Loud.

And with absolutely no regard for the structural integrity of nearby soft furnishings.

If you’ve always wanted a Warrior but didn’t particularly want one that’s spent the last few years having its extremities repeatedly introduced to rehearsal-room walls, this might be the one.

She’s black.

She’s immaculate.

She’s got 24 frets.

She’s got a double-locking trem.

She comes in her own enormous Jackson sarcophagus.

And she has enough points to make sitting down with her an occupational hazard.

Bellatrix is ready for adoption. 🖤
