For sale is an extremely rare & SERVICED E-mu Systems SP-1200 Final Edition, from the very last production run manufactured in March 1998.

This particular series was limited to only 125 individually numbered units, making it one of the rarest and most collectible factory versions of the legendary SP-1200.

The original commemorative plaque is present on the front of the machine:

“SP 1200 – FINAL EDITION – Built March 1998 – X OF 125 – E-MU SYSTEMS”

For privacy and security reasons, the individual production number has intentionally been hidden in the photographs and will only be disclosed after initial contact with a serious prospective buyer.

CONDITION

The unit is in very good overall cosmetic condition, especially considering its age. Please examine the detailed photographs carefully: they form an integral part of the description. Unit it will be cleaned again before shipping.

The front panel presents beautifully, with clean graphics, original controls and the distinctive Final Edition plaque.

ABOUT THE SP-1200

Originally designed by E-mu Systems, the SP-1200 has become one of the most iconic sampling drum machines ever produced.

Its 12-bit sampling architecture, low sampling rate and distinctive analogue output circuitry give it the immediately recognizable punch, grit and transient character that made the SP-1200 central to generations of hip-hop, electronic and sample-based production.

The Final Edition occupies a particularly interesting position in SP-1200 history: it combines the legendary architecture of the instrument with the scarcity of E-mu's final limited production run.

With only 125 examples produced, these units very rarely appear on the open market.
