Fender Custom Shop 1955 Telecaster Journeyman Relic

Step back into the golden era of the Telecaster with the Fender Custom Shop 1955 Telecaster Journeyman Relic. This meticulously crafted electric guitar brings the look, feel, and authentic tone of a well-loved mid-1950s Telecaster to life.

The lightweight, resonant body is made from 2-piece select ash and finished in Super Aged Sonic Blue Journeyman Relic nitrocellulose lacquer. The carefully applied relic finish gives the guitar the appearance of an original vintage Telecaster that has been lovingly played for many years.

Classic '50s Feel

The quartersawn maple neck features a comfortable 1960 Oval "C" profile and is fitted with a fingerboard made entirely from quartersawn maple. The 21 narrow tall frets provide a comfortable playing experience, combining authentic vintage character with excellent playability.

Thanks to the Vintage Compound Radius of 7.25" to 9.5", the neck feels familiar and comfortable while also providing additional room for bends and soloing.

Authentic Telecaster Tone

For classic Telecaster tone, this Custom Shop model is equipped with a set of Custom Shop Hand-Wound '55/'56 Tele single-coil pickups. These pickups deliver the characteristic combination of clear attack, sparkling twang, and immediate response that has made the Telecaster so beloved.

The 3-way blade switch provides the three classic Telecaster positions: the bridge pickup for a sharp and powerful tone, both pickups together for a balanced sound, and the neck pickup for a warmer, fuller tone.

The Fat '50s Tele® Wiring completes the authentic character of this vintage-inspired Telecaster.
