The limited-edition MJS1-ADZ-BL/R has arrived, featuring a striking combination of a Black Oil finish and Blue Anodized pickguard!

The texture of the Black Oil finish looks especially impressive on the large offset-shaped body.

Unlike a conventional solid black finish, the natural grain of the alder remains visible beneath the Black Oil. The appearance of the grain and the sheen of the finish change depending on the angle and lighting, allowing you to enjoy the natural character of the wood while maintaining an overall black aesthetic.

Another unique appeal of an oil finish is the way its sheen and character gradually evolve as the guitar is played over time.

The glossy black hardware is also exceptionally well matched to this model.

While the Black Oil finish retains the organic texture of the wood, glossy black hardware is used for components such as the tuning machines and bridge. By combining different textures within the same black color scheme, the overall appearance avoids becoming monotonous and gives the large offset body a greater sense of depth.

The centerpiece of this limited-edition model is undoubtedly the Blue Anodized pickguard.

The cool black-and-blue color combination is enhanced by the distinctive metallic texture of the anodized pickguard, creating a highly individual look without becoming overly flashy.

Since the MJS features a particularly large pickguard area, you can fully appreciate the changing appearance of the blue surface depending on the viewing angle and lighting.

A matching headstock is also featured.

Visible wood grain beneath the Black Oil finish, glossy black hardware, and the metallic Blue Anodized pickguard.

Although the entire design is built around cool tones, the contrasting textures of each material give this guitar a sharp, slightly futuristic character that sets it apart from an ordinary all-black instrument.

The body is constructed from two-piece alder, paired with a maple neck and Indian rosewood fingerboard.

This classic wood combination is centered around the well-balanced midrange of alder, complemented by the clear attack of the maple neck and the cohesive tonal character of the Indian rosewood fingerboard.

The guitar is equipped with a Hotrod JS Set.

While retaining the crisp, gritty attack characteristic of an offset-style guitar, one of the most interesting features of the MJS is the Series/Parallel switch, which allows you to dramatically change the character of the pickups.

In Parallel mode, the sound is light, articulate, and cuts through clearly. Switching to Series mode adds significantly more body and power, producing a stronger, more commanding tone that also works exceptionally well with overdrive.

In addition, High-pass and Low-pass filters are provided, allowing for an extremely wide range of tonal variations directly from the guitar when combined with the standard Volume and Tone controls.

It works beautifully for clean tones and cutting, rhythmic playing, delivers a sharp and lively response with crunch, and can also be pushed into deep fuzz for rich, gritty harmonics.

The neck features a C shape with a 310R fingerboard radius. Jescar® FW55090NS frets are used, providing modern playability while preserving the classic character and feel of an offset-style instrument.

Offering a different character from the aggressive appearance of the red version, this limited model delivers a cool and sharp black-and-blue aesthetic.
