Marantz 2238B stereophonic receiver in Very Good condition

Great sounding, fully working receiver with only light cosmetic wear as listed below.

Mid line Marantz from the silver face era with the gyro touch tuning wheel and the blue dial everyone recognizes. 38 watts per channel, three band tone controls, phono and aux inputs, a tape monitor loop, and two speaker pairs. Enough power for most vintage and modern speakers without taking over a room. The dial and meters light bright blue and all were replaced with blue LED. Serial number U1223885.

Condition: Overall we rated this as Very Good. Light scratching on the black top cover, as seen in photos. Faint marks on the brushed aluminum face along the lower edge. Front panel silkscreen is crisp and complete. All knobs and switches are present and undamaged. Rear speaker terminals and jacks are clean with no corrosion. Case is straight with no dents and the corners are clean.

Test Results: Fully tested and working. Powers up with the dial and both meters fully lit. Tunes and locks FM and AM with the tuning and signal meters tracking. All controls sweep clean with no scratchiness or dead spots. Phono, aux, and the tape monitor loop all pass signal. Both speaker pairs switch and pass signal. Headphone output works. Set up for easy demo with vinyl or CD in our hifi showroom at our shop in Milwaukee, WI.
