Shure SM94 — Cardioid Condenser Instrument Microphone

This is a Shure SM94, a rugged, battery-or-phantom-powered small-diaphragm cardioid condenser mic designed for accurate reproduction of instruments — particularly strings, woodwinds, and cymbals — with a flat, uncolored frequency response. Still in Shure's current lineup (SM94-LC), it's a mic engineers reach for when they want minimal coloration rather than a hyped character.

Can run on 11–52V phantom power or an internal AA battery, making it flexible for both studio and remote/field recording use. Included in your photos: mic with desktop stand.

A solid, honest-sounding instrument mic still relevant for acoustic guitar, hi-hat/overheads, and orchestral pickup work.
