Fender Custom Shop Limited Fat 1954 Stratocaster Relic with Closet Classic Hardware

Want the thick, clear ash-and-maple tone and special presence of the 1954 Stratocaster that rewrote rock history? But since this is a premium model built for the 70th anniversary, you want more than a simple reissue - you want the real thing, one that also delivers the finest, stress-free playability for today's stage.

Countless anniversary models have been built to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Fender's landmark Stratocaster, first born in 1954. But what truly excites collectors and serious performers alike is a supreme anniversary model crafted with real passion by the artisans of Fender's top-tier Custom Shop division. The neck grip, profiled from an example built in that extremely limited window of July 1954, and the airy character of hand-wound pickups made by veteran craftsmen, are things a mass-produced model simply cannot deliver.

This is the ultimate limited model where the romance of the Stratocaster's 70th anniversary meets the Custom Shop's finest present-day craftsmanship: the Fender Custom Shop Limited Fat 1954 Stratocaster Relic with Closet Classic Hardware, finished with painstaking relic aging. It fuses the realistic detail of a guitar frozen at the exact moment the Stratocaster was born with genuinely modern playability.

It uses an ash body selected by the Custom Shop's wood specialists for its clear, bright midrange. The neck uses carefully chosen 1-piece quartersawn maple, resistant to warping and twisting, for a crisp, clean response.

It adopts the thick 70th Anniversary Soft V shape, profiled from an actual July 1954 example. Paired with a 9.5" fingerboard radius and larger frets, it achieves excellent playability that combines a chunky feel with smooth string bending.

Fitted with 3 hand-wound Fat 50s pickups, individually wound by skilled craftsmen. They produce a rich overtone and airy, acoustic-like character that machine-wound pickups can't match, achieving both that clean, transparent 1950s character and a solid core that holds up in a full band mix.

A premium Custom Shop limited edition built to mark the 70th anniversary milestone. For any guitarist who wants to experience the thick, comfortable neck of an early '54 or is looking for a clear yet thick, genre-spanning main Stratocaster, this is a once-in-a-lifetime instrument for a lifelong relationship.

Experience the supreme tone of its hand-wound pickups and the aura of this 70th anniversary limited model, released from 70 years in the making.
