A 1998 model from Fender USA's flagship "American Vintage" series—a staple in electric guitar history that continues to fascinate players worldwide—has arrived in used condition!

This unit pairs the classic combination of a 1-piece maple neck and an alder body with a cool Black finish reminiscent of Eric Clapton, making for an exceptionally handsome guitar!

Classic V-Shape Neck & Rich Resonance of an Alder Body!

Constructed with an alder body known for its balanced density and straightforward tone. It features a solid midrange that matches perfectly with the crisp attack characteristic of a maple neck.

The comfortable '57-style "V" Shape neck fits naturally in your hand, supporting smooth fingerwork from low-position chord craft to high-position soloing.

It weighs 3.58 kg (7.89 lbs), striking an ideal balance between rich sound density and easy handling for a Stratocaster. You can feel the tight low end and direct picking response throughout your entire body.

Both the body and neck are finished in nitrocellulose lacquer. You can enjoy the rich texture that has aged over years of use, along with an open, full airy resonance that does not restrict the natural vibration of the wood.

[Condition]

1. Appearance: There is dullness on the hardware, along with scuffs and dings from use. The lacquer finish shows characteristic aging; the back exhibits run marks, fingerprint marks, dings, and scratches, giving it a seasoned look from active play.

2. Neck: In good condition. The truss rod has room in the tightening direction, with about a half-turn remaining in the loosening direction.

3. Frets: Ample fret height remaining. Currently no playability issues such as fretting out.

4. Setup: Adjusted with .010-.046 gauge strings. Set up for a balance of playability and resonance according to the vintage 7.25" radius fingerboard (6th string: approx. 2.0mm / 1st string: approx. 1.5mm).

5. Switch & Electronics: Configured with the factory-style traditional 3-way switch, but includes a "5-way switch (upgrade kit)" to achieve sweet Stratocaster half-tones. You can swap it according to your playing style.

6. Accessories: 6-month store warranty, tremolo arm, bridge cover, extra springs (x2), 5-way switch, original tweed hardshell case.

*Note: The hardshell case has partial latch damage, rust, and stains from age, but functions fine for storage and transport.

The neck has aged into a gorgeous golden amber hue! With over 20 years since manufacture, the lacquer texture and dried wood have matured into a well-seasoned "vintage tone" that cannot be replicated by current production models.
