Hiwatt's Filter Fuzz MkII chases the fuzz of the Grand Funk era — 1969-style aggression — and adds the two things vintage circuits lack. The Thick control is a bass knob inside the fuzz itself, so warm humbuckers can be tightened and thin single coils fattened before the clipping. And the bypassable three-way filter section emphasises chosen frequencies for boosted gain, octave-ish effects, and stranger voices when you want them, or switches out entirely for the straight vintage sound. An internal bias trim sets the gating.
