The Pete Cornish P-2 is one of the most respected fuzz pedals designed by the renowned British builder, created to deliver a powerful yet highly controllable and musical saturation. Like all Pete Cornish creations, this pedal reflects a meticulous design philosophy focused on exceptional sound quality, reliability and dynamic response. The 50th Anniversary version features exactly the same circuit and tonal character as the standard model, differing only by the special commemorative label celebrating Pete Cornish’s fifty years of work. The P-2 produces a rich and deep fuzz distortion with strong sustain and a complex harmonic structure. Unlike many aggressive fuzz designs, this pedal maintains excellent note definition and tonal balance, allowing the guitar to remain clear and present in the mix. The result is a dense and authoritative sound that still retains refinement and articulation, working equally well for powerful riffs and expressive lead lines. The volume, tone and sustain controls allow precise shaping of the pedal’s character, providing a wide tonal range. It can move from tighter, more focused saturation to a more open and articulate fuzz while maintaining a very natural dynamic response to the guitarist’s touch and to changes in the instrument’s volume control. This makes the P-2 extremely musical and surprisingly manageable even in heavily saturated settings. Like every Pete Cornish pedal, the P-2 is built to exceptionally high standards. Great attention is given to component quality, shielding and circuit design, ensuring quiet operation and outstanding reliability both on stage and in the studio. It is a bold yet refined fuzz designed for players looking for a deep, rich and highly controllable saturation.
