Schecter Sun Valley Super Shredder FR-S Electric Guitar in Riviera Blue

The Sun Valley Super Shredder FR-S combines a fast, comfortable neck with a lightweight, ergonomically designed body that minimizes fatigue during extended playing sessions. The thin 'C' maple neck and ebony fretboard with 24 X-Jumbo frets invite precise technical work, while the Floyd Rose Special tremolo system delivers both expressive pitch manipulation and reliable tuning stability. Built for high-output performance, this instrument delivers aggressive, articulate tones that cut through dense mixes with commanding presence.

Playability & Hardware

The 25.5" scale with a 14" fretboard radius and 24 X-Jumbo frets supports fast alternate picking and sweep techniques without unwanted string noise. The Floyd Rose Special 'Hot Rod' Locking Tremolo (a Schecter exclusive) maintains stable tuning through aggressive tremolo use while enabling dynamic pitch control unavailable on fixed-bridge systems.

Tone & Electronics

The EMG Retro Active Hot 70 bridge pickup and Sustainiac neck pickup work in concert to deliver high-output, articulate tones across a wide frequency range. Dual 9-volt battery compartments power the active electronics, while dedicated controls for Sustainiac mode switching (Fundamental-Mix-Harmonic) unlock harmonic textures and extended sustain capabilities.
