Here we have an great condition Symetrix SX201 (#2 listed and last one), 3 band parametric eq that has had our entire compliment of modifications performed to the circuit.

Comes complete with a full 1-year warranty.

These are a great Desktop or rack tray mounted EQ that excel on a number of sources from Kick to Snare to guitar. They are very warm, musical and akin to an SSL style of eq where they can do precision or broad correction.

The sound: Stock, These tend to sound a bit grainy before modifications and a bit harsh when boosting certain bands with early distortion. The sounds is mid forward and focused sounding but not the most musical, though the bands do sound good when cutting or boosting with good range and control.

About the modifications:
We do a full audio path upgrade on this model, replacing every audio amp in the circuit including all bands and I/O with High performance Burr Brown amps.
The audio path is further upgraded but changing audio cap values and types for lower noise and more musicality.

The power power supply is modified as well with Low ESR caps and bypassing is performed for even lower noise still. When we are done we end up with a a very musical EQ with 10+db more headroom better bandwidth and lower noise.

The musicality of the unit is very positively impacted with a lot more warmth, clarity and headroom when cutting or boosting.

With the modifications these are a great EQ for almost any task.

Running on increased 18volt analog rails they simply destroy any 500 series eq on the market in terms of headroom, warmth and audio mojo.
