The Made in Japan Godzilla Stratocaster® Blue is a special edition model born from a collaboration between the globally popular “Godzilla” special-effects monster movie series—which is celebrating the 70th anniversary of its 1954 film debut—and Fender’s Stratocaster®, which also marks its 70th anniversary in 2024. The design features numerous details inspired by the power and charm of Godzilla, who reigns as the “King of Monsters.”

The sound has also been meticulously crafted: pressing the Tone 2 knob activates the built-in distortion circuit. Furthermore, it features the “G.L.O. – Gain-Linked Optics” mechanism (patent pending), in which the brightness of the light changes according to the amount of distortion. As a result, the Godzilla dorsal fin designed on the pickguard glows, with the brightness increasing as the distortion level rises. It expresses, through sound and light, the moment just before an enraged Godzilla fires his heat ray, creating a dual sensory experience for both sight and hearing.
