Up for sale is a museum-grade piece of Gibson history: a 100% factory-original, first-edition 2007 Gibson Les Paul Robot Guitar. This instrument features the striking and highly collectible "Blue Silverburst" nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Gibson explicitly created this color exclusively for this initial 2007 run (limited to only 4,000 units worldwide) and promised never to use it on another model again.

This guitar is a true "time capsule" or "closet classic." It was purchased brand new 19 years ago, placed immediately into its case, and has sat completely untouched and unplayed ever since. It has zero play-wear, zero fret-wear, and has been stored securely in a climate-controlled environment. 

Unlike later cost-reduced Robot models, this premium First Run edition boasts high-end appointments including a dark ebony fretboard, full neck and headstock binding, and a mother-of-pearl "flowerpot" headstock inlay. 

The electronics, motorized tuners, and physical hardware are completely factory-original and unmodified.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTE FOR COLLECTORS:

Because this instrument has sat safely unplayed in its case since 2007, the internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack is chemically depleted due to age and will likely need to be replaced by the buyer to utilize the motorized self-tuning functions. This is completely standard for an untouched 19-year-old instrument. The guitar plays perfectly as a traditional Les Paul.
