The Ibanez SR800 Soundgear is a Japanese-made bass from the early 1990s, combining Ibanez's famously slim, comfortable Soundgear design with active electronics and a versatile PJ-style pickup configuration.

The SR800 features a lightweight basswood body, bolt-on maple neck, and 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. Its comfortable 34" scale and slim neck profile make it an excellent choice for players looking for a fast, easy-playing bass with plenty of tonal flexibility.

The bass is equipped with Ibanez Lo-Z-P and Lo-Z-J pickups, paired with an EQ BII two-band equalizer for shaping the low and high frequencies. Gotoh tuners and an Accu-Cast B IV bridge round out the hardware.
