2023 Fender Custom Shop '59 Reissue Relic Precision Bass — Robin's Egg
If you're looking for a P-Bass that has the look, feel, and attitude of a vintage Fender without having to worry about putting a real '59 on the road, this one deserves a look.
Up for sale is my 2023 Fender Custom Shop '59 Reissue Relic Precision Bass in the absolutely gorgeous Robin's Egg finish. This is one of those basses that's hard to walk past without picking it up—and once you do, it's even harder to put down.
The Custom Shop nailed the combination of vintage character and modern playability here. The roasted maple neck feels fantastic in the hand, the bass has a wonderfully broken-in feel, and it plays effortlessly with low action and no fret wear. If you're after that big, authoritative P-Bass sound, this one absolutely delivers.
And yes, the original pickups are still in there. They have that classic Precision voice—fat, punchy, focused, and extremely easy to make sound good. Plug it into a good amp and it pretty much does the P-Bass thing all by itself. Rock, country, blues, R&B, soul, studio work... it just works.
The Relic finish gives it plenty of vintage personality without making it feel like a museum piece. This is a bass that's meant to be played.
Condition
Overall, I'd rate the bass Excellent. It is a relic, so the finish intentionally has the appearance of age and wear from the Custom Shop. Mechanically and playability-wise, it's excellent: low action, no fret wear, and everything functions as it should. It is the best PBass I’ve ever played.

It has the magic.
