Fender American Ultra Stratocaster in Ultraburst. The top of Fender's production range, built for players who want the Stratocaster shape without the vintage compromises.

What you are actually paying for over a Professional:

• Compound-radius fingerboard, 10" to 14". Rounder at the nut for chording, flatter up the neck for bends that do not choke. It is the headline feature of the Ultra series and the one people notice first.
• Modern D neck profile, Ultra Satin finish, rolled edges. Feels played-in from the first minute.
• Ultra Noiseless Vintage pickups. Three of them, full Strat quack and bell chime with the hum designed out. Positions two and four still do the thing they are supposed to do.
• S-1 switch on the volume knob, adding the neck pickup to positions one and two. That gives you neck-plus-bridge and all-three combinations that a standard five-way cannot reach.
• Sculpted heel for genuine upper-fret access, plus locking tuners and a two-point tremolo that returns to pitch.

Ultraburst is the Ultra line's own sunburst, lighter and more amber through the middle than the traditional three-tone.
