Fender American Stratocaster USA Hardtail – 2000 – Black

For sale is my Fender American Stratocaster Hardtail, made in the USA in 2000, serial number Z0142540.

A particularly nice and increasingly uncommon version of the American Stratocaster, featuring the hardtail bridge, meaning there is no tremolo system. This gives the guitar a very stable feel and excellent tuning stability while retaining the classic Stratocaster character.

Condition

Very good condition for its age.

The guitar has clearly been well looked after and is remarkably clean for a 25+ year-old instrument. The finish remains glossy and the hardware, neck, fingerboard, pickups and controls are all in very good cosmetic condition.

There is one noticeable scratch on the rear of the body, which I’ve photographed for complete transparency. There are also some very minor signs of use consistent with the guitar’s age, but overall it presents extremely well.

The original Fender hard case is also included and is in good condition.

This is a genuine USA-made Fender, rather than a Mexican or Japanese model, and the relatively uncommon hardtail specification makes it an interesting example for both players and collectors.

It has been kept safely in its case and is now being sold simply because it is no longer being played.
